WEBSITE NEWS

You may have noticed that ILB Crewmember Lee St Quinton has taken over the role of webmaster, keeping the news and service launch records up-to-date, while I concentrate on keeping the press happy since Ben Hardaker's departure last month.

Lee and I will be working together to keep the site as fresh and up-to-date as possible, and a full revamp of the site is already being planned for later in the year!

For now, the new Gallery is up-and-running, with nearly 250 photos already uploaded. We will be adding as many photos as we can find - old and new - so watch this space.

Lifeboat Press Officer

The "Important Notices" have been moved to a seperate page. If you've got nothing better to do, you could read them.... IMPORTANT NOTICES

Most importantly: PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SITE IS NOT THE OFFICIAL RNLI WEBSITE, WHICH CAN BE VISITED HERE.

Greetings from Michigan USA. I lived in Skegness (Father in the RAF) '42-'43 and recall the old traditonal self-righting lifeboat in the boathouse on South parade. On call, she was towed up S.Parade by a big track-laying tractor, then turning right and down the road thro' the barbed wire. The number of rescues from torpedoeings and "ditched" aircraft was phenominal. Brave men all. I still find myself thinking of you, all these years later. God keep you safe.

Dear RNLI, I have always loved skegness lifeboat as it was the lifeboat station that kicked off my rnli-ism. The rnli rules!
